About REIR

I got tired of quietly overpaying.

So I built an agent that’s on your side — one that hunts for the real price and never works for the hotels.

A while ago I booked a hotel the way everyone does: opened the first site, saw a price that felt fine, and paid it. A few days later a friend mentioned they’d stayed at the same hotel, the same week — for a hundred and forty dollars less a night.

That stung. Not because of the money, but because of how quiet it was. No one lied to me. The site just showed me a number it knew I’d probably accept, and counted on me not checking. That’s the whole business model of booking the first thing you see.

So I built REIR: a personal price agent whose only loyalty is to you. You tell it a hotel, it finds the lowest real price across the web — fees and all — then keeps watching and warns you the moment it drops. It’s free, because the booking sites pay us a small commission when you book. We never take a cent from you, and we’d rather send you to the cheapest room and earn nothing than push you to overpay.

That’s the line I won’t cross, and it’s the whole point of REIR: the other sites are paid by hotels. We’re paid only when you book — so we answer only to you.
